4th Bearsted Brownies - RNLI Visit

4th Bearsted Brownies had a visit from the RNLI on Wednesday 15th October. A volunteer from the RNLI, Pam and her trusty dog Barney came to talk to the Brownies about how to be safe near water.

The Brownies learned about the 4 key safety messages:

Stop and Think - is the water safe to enter?

Stay Together - stay with friends/family when you are near water

Float to Live - if you fall in water, float on your back in a star shape until you feel calm enough to call for help

Call 999/112 - and ask for the Coastguard

These messages were listened to really carefully by the Brownies as part of our new Safety Interest Badge that we have been working on this term. Next term - a trip to the Fire Station!!
